ICAD'98 Submission Guidelines

As extended abstracts and papers will be submitted electronically this year they must be in the correct format. Below are the style files that must be used. If you have problems with these then please contact alistair-icad@minster.york.ac.uk.

Format

The correct style and layout for the papers is described in the following files.

ICAD.rtf
This is an RTF file which contains formatting instructions and styles for a paper, appropriate for use with MS-Word and other Word Processors which can import RTF.

To import this file into MS-Word, first save this file as a text file. The first line in the file should start {\rtf1\mac\deff2. Then start MS-Word and select the dialog to open files. Make the RTF file visible in this dialog by selecting All Readable Files. Then select the ICAD.rtf file, and open it. It will be converted to a Word file. Further instructions are included in the file. The extended abstracts must be submitted as RTF.

LaTeX Files
The following files are available to help format your ICAD paper using LaTeX. The extended abstracts must be submitted as PostScript.

  1. LaTeX Overview: This is a very short summary, describing the use of the LaTeX files.
  2. wic.sty: This is a LaTeX style file which should be included in the documentstyle of the LaTeX document. The LaTeX file below gives an example of its use.
  3. ICAD.tex: This is an example LaTeX file which demonstrates how to use the wic.sty style file.

LaTeX2e Files
The following files are available to help format your ICAD paper using LaTeX2e. The extended abstracts must be submitted as PostScript.

  1. LaTeX2e Overview: This is a very short summary, describing the use of the LaTeX2e files.
  2. wic2e.sty: This is a LaTeX2e style file which should be included in the documentstyle of the LaTeX2e document. The LaTeX2e file below gives an example of its use.
  3. ICAD2e.tex: This is an example LaTeX2e file which demonstrates how to use thewic2e.sty style file.
