10 Papers about auditory display to start with

This list of paper is not yet populated, but a good starting point is the special issue of the ACM Transactions on Applied Perception (TAP) journal Volume 2,  Issue 4  (October 2005). The bibtex records of these 14 papers selected as milestones for ICAD are also available from the bibliography.

One of the Ten Papers to Start

Actually there are quite a lot papers to start with for people who want to get to know auditory display, especially papers from former ICAD conferences. I remember when I started my study, the first book I borrowed was the 1994 ICAD conference proceeding.

The paper listed below gives a general framework of auditory display which I though it's good for novice to understand the important considerations and stages invovled in sonification design.

Anderson, J. (2005). "Creating an Empirical Framework for Sonification Design", in 11th International Conference on Auditory Display (ICAD'05), Limerick, Ireland, pp. 393-397.
